UME Management Artist Agency is delighted to celebrate an exciting new chapter in the career of Mayumi Kanagawa, who has been appointed Professor of Violin at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen (HfK Bremen) in Germany.

An internationally acclaimed violinist, Mayumi has built her career through a deep commitment to music, distinctive artistry, and a continuous dedication to connecting with audiences and fellow musicians. Her artistry has been recognized on major international stages, including with the Gold Medal at the 2024 George Enescu International Competition and prizes at the Tchaikovsky and Long-Thibaud Crespin International Competitions.

Her achievements have continued to receive recognition in Japan, where in 2025 she was honored with both the 34th Idemitsu Music Award and the 26th Hotel Okura Music Award, celebrating her remarkable musical accomplishments and the promise of her continued artistic development.

Alongside her international performing career, Mayumi has increasingly devoted herself to music education and outreach. She has been teaching at HfK Bremen since 2023, sharing her experience and passion for music with a new generation of musicians. Her appointment as Professor of Violin represents a natural continuation of this commitment, bringing together her life as a performer, educator, and artist.

Mayumi will mark this new chapter with her inaugural concert as Professor of Violin on January 22, 2027, at HfK Bremen, an occasion that will celebrate both her artistry and her new role within the university

For UME, it is an honor to represent Mayumi and to accompany her through this important stage of her artistic and professional journey. We are proud to support an artist whose dedication to music continues to inspire audiences, students, and the wider musical community.

Congratulations, Professor Mayumi Kanagawa, on this wonderful achievement. We look forward to celebrating the next chapter of your journey.
