Andrés Jaramillo

Dr. Andrés Jaramillo is a renowned pianist, educator, and collaborative musician with an outstanding international career. He is currently a professor at the Collinsworth School of Music at California Baptist University, where he teaches Applied Piano, Chamber Music, Music Theory, Recital Class, Musicianship, and Music in Global Cultures.

In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Jaramillo maintains a vibrant artistic career as a soloist, collaborative pianist, conductor, and clinician. His performances have resonated across stages in South America, South Africa, Spain, China, and the United States, captivating audiences with interpretations that blend classical repertoire, contemporary music, and Latin American works. He is an active promoter of emerging composers' music, frequently premiering new works both locally and internationally across five different continents.

His academic background is equally impressive. He earned his Doctorate in Piano Performance from the prestigious Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California (USC), with specializations in Theory, Instrumental Conducting, and Collaborative Keyboard Arts, studying under renowned mentors such as Daniel Pollack, Dr. Alan Smith, and Prof. Larry Livingston. He also completed his Master’s degree at Eastern Washington University (EWU) and his Bachelor’s degree at Universidad Juan N. Corpas, where he studied with Jorge Zorro Sánchez, Pilar Leyva, and Ludmila Weber.
